Optimal solutions from Shneider Electric Ukraine for the construction market!

It is obvious that Kyiv, Ukraine’s capital, experiences now a building boom. However, total development of the central area gave rise to a number of difficulties in terms of organization of electrical supply and provision of additional capacities to newly built projects.
In order to improve the current situation, Shneider Electric Ukraine in association with the representatives of Kyivproject and Kyivenergo took an active part in the development of technical solutions to produce proposals to resolve this problem.
We should emphasize the results of the fruitful works performed by the staff of Kyibproject who carefully analyzed the existing solutions of various specialized firms as well as experience of similar project implementation in the CIS members.

As a result of the analysis, recommendation documentation was developed with the most optimal solution in terms of the cost-function relation for transformer substations (TSS) being modernized and newly built.
This solution was first used in Ukraine to reconstruct TSS 1138 in the Bessarabski residential area. The key requirements of the Customer represented by Kyivenergo consisted in the full reconstruction of the transformer substation in the existing building, namely:
- increase the capacity of the existing transformers;
- replace the 0.4 kV SG and extend the outgoing feeders.

Following the traditional policies of Shneider Electric around the world, this objective was implemented along with the SVS-Dnepr CJSC, Ukrainian partner.
Within the shortest time periods and without stopping the project’s operation, SVS-Dnepr specialists, despite lack of experience in working with such equipment, performed the whole range of works on a high professional level and successfully completed the Customer’s requirements.
Shneider Electric Ukraine hopes that this experience will help successfully implement similar projects in the future.
