Frost is no obstacle for builders
Despite objective seasonal difficulties, KECC specialists continue to build a residential complex in Minsk (Byelorussia) started in 2009. The customer (Investor) of construction is the NII Belkoopsoyuza Company. According to its structure, the residential complex with built-in public premises in the Masiukovshchina-5 residential area is a territory with a closed infrastructure: the building comprises two sections – 18 storey and 12 storey sections with built-in premises harboring a police station, a post office, and offices, and also additional premises of a bank. Construction works were performed under very difficult weather conditions. Continuous rains during work performance related to the foundation pit excavation, development of the piling field and foundations required systematic pumpout of water. Snowfall and frost that followed afterwards resulted in additional difficulties and made erection of a monolithic reinforced concrete carcass a more difficult task. However, unusually low temperature conditions proved not to be an obstacle for KECC professional builders. Reinforced concrete heating technologies that were used made it possible to stick to the planned schedule of works. Clearly arranged organization of works in the site and a high level of professionalism of the Company’s workers will make it possible to commission the residential complex in due time.
