Laying of the35 kV cable line in Korosten is nearing completion
Works related to the 35 kV cable line laying for power supply to the MDF (Medium-Density Fiberboard) manufacturing plant are nearing completion in Korosten, Zhytomyr region. The plant construction had a high-profile nature as some of residents living in Turgenev Street opposed the laying of this underground high-voltage line along their street. The major reasons of the conflict included unjustified beliefs of citizens that the project might have a negative impact on the health of their community members as well as fears that the street would not be restored to its initial condition once works are completed.
Thanks to explanations given to the residents of that street substantiated with appropriate regulatory documents, the cable line laying works were resumed and are currently nearing completion.
